plot of A Quiet Place 2 is being kept under wraps, but director John Krasinski has said that the film will be “even more ambitious” than the first one.

The cast

The cast of A Quiet Place 2 is led by Emily Blunt, who is returning to her role as Evelyn Abbott. Blunt is joined by Cillian Murphy and Millicent Simmonds, who will be playing Emmett and Regan respectively. Noah Jupe, who played Marcus in the first film, is also returning. Newcomers to the cast include Djimon Hounsou, who will be playing a character named Duke, and Brian Tyree Henry, who has been cast in an undisclosed role.

The plot

So far, we know that A Quiet Place 2 will pick up some time after the events of the first movie. The Abbott family – played by Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe – are still living in silence, fearful of the creatures that hunt by sound. One day, they encounter another survivor played by Cillian Murphy. It’s not clear how much his character knows about the creatures, but it’s clear that he’s not to be trusted.

The movie will also introduce a new character played by Djimon Hounsou. Not much is known about his character either, except that he’s a survivalist who has been living in the woods for years.

A Quiet Place 2 is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2020.

The director

John Krasinski will return to write and direct A Quiet Place 2. He co-wrote the screenplay with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, the latter of whom he also wrote 2018’s A Quiet Place with. The team will produce the film alongside Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and Andrew Form and Brad Fuller’sonda Pictures.

The trailer

The first trailer for A Quiet Place 2 dropped on January 1, 2020, giving fans their first look at the highly anticipated sequel. The trailer opens with a voiceover from Emily Blunt’s character, Evelyn Abbott, as she reads a journal entry from her late husband Lee (played by John Krasinski in the first film). “Day 456. I still don’t know what caused them to come,” she says. “But whatever it was, it was big.”

We then see flashbacks of the original film’s events, including the family’s desperate attempt to escape the sound-sensitive monsters that have taken over the world. The footage also teases some new locations and new characters, including Cillian Murphy’s Emmett and Djimon Hounsou’s Victor.

The trailer ends with a shot of Evelyn handing over her baby to another character, played by Millicent Simmonds. “I promise I will find you,” she says. “I will not stop until you are safe.”

A Quiet Place 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.

The production

The production of A Quiet Place 2 started in July 2019. The movie was shot in upstate New York, in the same area where the first movie was filmed. John Krasinski, who directed and wrote the first movie, is back to directing and writing the sequel. Emily Blunt, who starred in the first movie, will also be returning for the sequel. So far, not much else is known about the plot of the movie.

The reception

A Quiet Place 2 is currently in post-production and is scheduled to be released on March 20, 2020, by Paramount Pictures. The film was initially set to be released on May 15, 2020, but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The film has been receiving mixed-to-positive reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 73% rating, based on 10 reviews with an average rating of 6.7/10. The site’s critical consensus reads, “A Quiet Place Part II largely succeeds in delivering more of what audiences loved about the first installment – although maybe not quite enough to justify its existence.”

On Metacritic, the film has a score of 63 out of 100, based on 5 critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews”.

CinemaScore polls reported that audiences gave the film an “A-” grade.

The soundtrack

The original A Quiet Place was a sleeper success both critically and commercially, in no small part due to its effective use of sound (or lack thereof). The follow-up will hopefully be able to replicate that success. Here’s what we know about the A Quiet Place 2 soundtrack so far.

The original film’s composer, Marco Beltrami, will return for the sequel. In an interview with Collider, Beltrami said that he was “enthused” to come back and that he had already begun work on the score. He also hinted at some of the themes that would be explored in the sequel, saying that it would be “dealing with a lot of the same issues” as the first film but from “different points of view.”

It’s not clear yet if any familiar tracks from the first film will make a return in the sequel, but it seems unlikely given the change in focus from the Abbott family to another group of survivors. In any case, we’re looking forward to hearing what Beltrami comes up with for A Quiet Place 2.

The sequels

The Quiet Place 2 is currently in development, with John Krasinski set to return to write and direct the sequel. The film will once again star Emily Blunt, and is expected to begin production in 2020.

While plot details for The Quiet Place 2 are being kept under wraps, the film will reportedly follow a new family struggling to survive in a world overrun by monsters.

Krasinski has said that he has an idea for The Quiet Place 2 that is “even better” than the first film, and that the sequel will be “even scarier” than the original.

The book

A Quiet Place 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 hit thriller, is finally in production. While details about the plot are being kept under wraps, we do know that the movie will be based on the book of the same name by author Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Here’s what we know about the book so far.

The book is set six months after the events of the first movie. The surviving members of the Abbott family are living in silence, hiding from the monsters that have taken over the world. However, when a new threat emerges, they must find a way to communicate with each other and fight back.

While the plot of the book is being kept under wraps, we do know that it will feature some ofthe same characters from the first movie, including Lee Abbott (John Krasinski), his wife Evelyn (Emily Blunt), and their children Regan (Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus (Noah Jupe). The film will also introduce some new characters, including a teenage girl named Rose (Cillian Murphy) who joins the Abbott family in their fight against the monsters.

A Quiet Place 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 20, 2020.
